Brazilian artist and designer, Leticia works mainly with photography, collage and artist’s books. Her work is focused on ways of seeing the landscape, especially in an urban environment, and how architecture mediates our relationship with places. She has graduated in Graphic Design and Visual Arts and has also an MFA in Visual Poetics. She has her work highlighted in awards such as the Prêmio Açorianos de Artes Plásticas, in 2009, the Pierre Verger National Prize of Photography, in 2013, and the Chico Albuquerque Prize of Photography, in 2019, among others. She has participated in art residencies such as The Swatch Art Peace Hotel in Shanghai – China, FAAP Art Residency and Hermes, in Sao Paulo – Brazil, Kaaysá, in Boiçucanga – Brazil, Pier2, in Taiwan, and Echangeur22, in France. She has published four books: The Color Scale of Things (2009), Chai (2016), Known by Sight (Incompleta, 2018) and Silent City (2022). Since 2016 she has been given workshops on art, photography and independent publications in different cities of Brazil.
In Brazil, she is represented by Galeria ArteFormatto, in Sao Paulo, Galeria Mamute, in Porto Alegre, and RV Cultura e Arte, in Salvador.
